Together with the 2008 International Congress on Services (SERVICES 2008) , the 2008 IEEE International Conference on Services Computing (SCC 2008) will be held at Hawaii, USA on July 7-11, 2008.

Registered participants will get tutorial materials (e.g. ppt). All ICWS/SCC/Services 2007 participants are encouraged to attend tutorial sessions. This initiative is supported by IEEE Body of Knowledge on Services Computing.

Due to numerous requests, Marriott has agreed to extend our advance reservation cut off date to 6/29/2007 to enjoy conference rate. This is a hard deadline; please reserve the hotel room as soon as possible.

The 7-digit code is “IEEIEEA” for online booking.

“IEEE/ICWS/SCC” is for calling into the 800 number for making reservations.

ICWS/SCC have selected student volunteers to support on-site conference activities based on our limited positions/resources. The supported students will help monitor/record conference sessions that will be contributed to the IEEE Body of Knowledge on Services Computing (www.servicescomputing.tv). Thanks for your interest in being a student volunteer. Look forward to your contributions in the coming years.

ICWS/SCC/SERVICES 2007 Advance Program (in both PDF version and HTML version) is now available online (5/21/2007). All authors please take a CLOSE look at the Advance Program for your paper presentation session and time slot. Any questions please contact organizing committee as soon as possible.

When you reserve hotel rooms at Marriott Salt Lake City Downtown, please remember to use our group code “IEEE/ICWS/SCC” to obtain our special group rate ($125/night instead of $219/night).

We will have to stay with 5/8/2007 as camera-ready paper submission deadline to ensure that ICWS/SCC/SERVICES proceedings can be mailed to the hotel before our conference starts.

Therefore, authors, whose papers have been accepted by ICWS/SCC/SERVICES 2007, please prepare camera-ready version for your paper and submit to IEEE (not conferences’ submission sites) by 5/8/2007. The step-by-step instructions to prepare and submit your camera-ready paper and copyright form can be found from the following IEEE Web site:

Meanwhile, please complete your registration on conference Web sites (under registration tag) by 5/10/2007, so that your camera-ready paper can be included in the ICWS/SCC/SERVICES 2007 Proceedings to be published by IEEE Computer Society Press. (Checklist: (1) camera-ready paper, (2) filled copyright form, and (3) registration.)

Registered authors/participants could send an email to registration@servicescomputing.org to request visa letters (details please find under Registration tag).

The Editor-in-Chief of the International Journal of Web Services Research (JWSR) would like to invite you to consider submitting a manuscript for inclusion in this scholarly journal.

Prospective authors are invited to submit manuscripts for possible publication in the International Journal of Web Services Research (JWSR). As the architecture and integration technology foundation of Services Computing (www.servicescomputing.org), Web Services and Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) are among the most important emerging technologies in the e-business, computer software and communication industries. The Web Services and SOA technologies will redefine the way that companies do business and exchange information in twenty-first century. They will enhance business efficiency by enabling dynamic provisioning of resources from a pool of distributed resources. Due to the importance of the field, there is a significant amount of ongoing research in the areas. In a parallel effort, standardization organizations are actively developing standards for Web Services and SOA. The Web Services and SOA are creating what will become one of the most significant industries of the new century. The International Journal of Web Services Research is designed to be a valuable resource providing leading technologies, development, ideas, and trends to an international readership of researchers and engineers in the field of Web Services and SOA.

As the first refereed, international publication featuring only the latest research findings and industry solutions dealing with all aspects of Web services and SOA technology, the International Journal of Web Services Research (JWSR) has been indexed by Science Citation Index Expanded (SCI-E) beginning with V.3(1) 2006. I would like to send my thanks to YOU as an author, review board member, associate editor, and technical community members for your high-quality contributions.

As shown in the following figure (big picture), you can find the International Journal of Web Services Research (JWSR) from the Master Journal List selected by Thomson Scientific.
